Frequently Asked Questions

Is organic meat better for you?

While their is no direct evidence that organic meat is healthier for you, the practice of raising livestock organically is healthy for our environment. Since our producers don't use strong chemical herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers, and the amount of livestock in pasture is controlled, the land is better able to process waste products and absorb them back into the earth.

Is Rocky Mountain Custom Cuts livestock grass-fed?

All of our livestock is grass-fed on certified organic pastures. We believe this results in a leaner animal with meat that is lower in total fat and calories and contains more Omega-3 fatty acids.

Where is Rocky Mountain Custom Cuts livestock raised?

Most all of Rocky Mountain Custom Cuts livestock is raised in the Rocky Mountain region by U.S. producers. No cattle are imported from outside the U.S.

Is Rocky Mountain Custom Cuts meats certified organic?

Yes, all of our meats are certified organic by an independent agency approved by the USDA. That means that each of our farmers and ranchers, as well as our processing plant has been inspected and certified organic. This means that our livestock have not been given antibiotics, growth hormones, genetically modified organisms or animal by-products and have eaten only organic feed such as certified organic pasture grasses and certified organic whole grains.
